Complaints & Corrections
We take accuracy seriously, and we’d rather know when we’ve got something wrong than let it stand. This page explains how to flag an error or raise a complaint, and what we’ll do about it.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error — a wrong figure, an out-of-date scheme detail, a misattributed quote — tell us at hello@theenergyedit.co.uk with the article title or link and what you think is incorrect. We’ll check it against our sources and, where there’s a genuine error, correct it promptly. Significant corrections are noted on the article so the record is clear; we don’t quietly change things and pretend they were always that way.
Complaints
If you have a wider concern about something we’ve published — accuracy, fairness, or how we’ve handled a subject — you can make a formal complaint. Please email hello@theenergyedit.co.uk with “Complaint” in the subject line and include:
- the article title or link
- the specific passage or point you’re complaining about
- what you believe is wrong, unfair or inaccurate, and why
- your contact details
How we handle it
We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and to give a full response within 10 working days. We’ll review the piece against our Editorial Policy and the source material, and we’ll tell you the outcome — whether that’s a correction, a clarification, an amendment, or an explanation of why we’re standing by what we published.
We treat complaints in good faith and we won’t penalise anyone for raising one. We can’t enter into open-ended correspondence on a matter we consider resolved, but we’ll always give you a clear, reasoned answer.
